ListenPad'in bütün özellikleri, adım adım. Hızlıca bir tuşu arıyorsan: Kısayollar.

1. Başlarken

1. ListenPad'i Chrome ya da Brave'e ekle. Araç çubuğundaki yapboz simgesinden eklentiyi sabitlersen ayarlara tek tıkla ulaşırsın.
2. Altyazısı olan bir video aç. YouTube'da oynatıcının alt çubuğunda, CC düğmesinin yanında ListenPad simgeli düğme belirir. Ona tıkla ya da Alt+T'ye bas.
3. Panel videonun üstünde açılır, konuşulan kelime vurgulanır. Okumaya başla.

Bilmen iyi olur: Panel her videoda kapalı başlar. Bir videoda açarsan o video tekrar açıldığında da açık gelir. Hesap açman gerekmez.

2. Okuma paneli

Panel altyazıyı cümle cümle gösterir. Konuşulan kelime turuncu vurgulanır, okunan cümlenin zemini hafifçe renklenir ve panel kendiliğinden kayar.

• Kelimeye tıkla: video o kelimeye gider.
• Çift tık: videoyu oynatır ya da duraklatır.
• Takip (◎): Paneli elle kaydırıp okunan yeri ekrandan çıkarırsan takip durur, böylece rahatça geriye bakabilirsin. ◎'ye basınca okunan yere geri döner.
• Not izleri: Not aldığın cümlelerin altı noktalı çizilidir, üzerine gelince notun görünür. Videonun ilerleme çubuğunda da her not için küçük bir işaret vardır.

Üst çubuktaki düğmeler

Panelin altındaki bildirim satırı altyazının ve çevirinin nereden geldiğini söyler. Örneğin "kayıttan (istek yok)" yazıyorsa çeviri daha önce alınıp saklanmıştır, internete istek gitmemiştir.

3. Paneli yerleştirmek

• Taşı: başlıktaki ⠿ Okuma yazısından sürükle.
• Boyutlandır: sol, sağ ve alt kenarlardan ya da alt köşelerden çek. Boyut videoya oranla saklanır, tam ekranda panel de orantılı büyür.
• Yasla: ⇤ ya da ⇥ ile panel videonun bir kenarına tam boy yapışır. Videonun geri kalanı açıkta kalır. Genişliği iç kenarından çekerek ayarlarsın.
• Saydamlık: ◐ kaydırıcısı. Videoyu panelin arkasından görmek istersen düşür.
• Ortala: panel kaybolduysa ya da garip bir yerde kaldıysa eklenti simgesi → Paneli ortala.

Panelin yeri ve boyutu her sekmede ayrı tutulur. Bir sekmede taşımak öbürlerini bozmaz. Tema ve saydamlık ise her yerde ortaktır.

4. Altyazı ve çeviri

Paneldeki CC ▾ düğmesi bir menü açar:

• Altyazılar: videonun bütün altyazıları listelenir. otomatik etiketli olanlarda kelime zamanları gerçektir ama metinde hata olabilir. elle yüklenmiş olanların metni düzgündür, kelime zamanları tahmin edilir.
• Çeviri: Kapalı, Otomatik (tarayıcının dili) ya da istediğin bir dil. Listenin üstünde sık kullanılan diller durur, Dil ara kutusuyla 160'a yakın dil arasından seçebilirsin. Çeviri her cümlenin altında küçük, soluk bir satır olarak görünür.
• Kaynak: Otomatik önce videonun kendi çevirisini dener. O olmazsa Google Çeviri'ye, o da olmazsa Chrome'un cihazdaki çevirmenine geçer. İstersen bunlardan birini sabitleyebilirsin.
• ↻ Altyazıyı yeniden indir / ↻ Çeviriyi yeniden al: kayıtlı kopyayı yeniler.

Videonun dili tarayıcının dilinden farklıysa çeviri kendiliğinden açılır. Çeviri seçimin her video için ayrı hatırlanır. Bir kez alınan çeviri saklanır, aynı videoyu tekrar açtığında yeniden istenmez.

Dublajlı videolarda panel çalan ses dilini izler. Ses dilini değiştirirsen altyazı da o dile geçer.

Üst çubukta ↻ Çeviri çıkarsa çeviri alınamamıştır, tıklayıp yeniden dene. ⬇ Çeviri paketi çıkarsa Chrome'un cihazdaki çevirmeni için dil paketini bir kez indirmen gerekir. Bu çevirmen internetsiz çalışır ama Brave'de yoktur.

5. Kendi altyazı dosyan (SRT/VTT)

Videonun altyazısı yoksa, bozuksa ya da daha iyi bir altyazın varsa:

1. CC ▾ → ＋ Altyazı dosyası yükle (SRT/VTT)…. Birden çok dosya seçebilirsin.
2. Dosya videonun dilindeyse ana metin olur. Çeviri dilindeyse çeviri satırı olarak kullanılır (📄 işaretiyle). Dil dosya adından anlaşılır (ders.en.srt, Türkçe.srt…), anlaşılamazsa metinden tahmin edilir.
3. Dosya o videoya kaydedilir. Videoyu tekrar açtığında son seçtiğin dosya kendiliğinden gelir. Menüdeki ✕ ile silebilirsin.

Neden kendi altyazı dosyamı yükleyeyim?

Videonun altyazısı yoksa, daha kaliteli bir izleme deneyimi arıyorsan ya da yeni bir dil öğreniyorsan kendi altyazı dosyanı yükleyebilirsin. Başlıca faydaları:

• Doğru metinle okursun. Otomatik altyazılar noktalamasız ve küçük harfli olur, kelimeleri de zaman zaman yanlış duyar. Düzgün yazılmış bir dosyada cümleler tam ve doğrudur. Yeni bir dilde yanlış bir kelimeyi doğru sanıp ezberlemezsin.
• Makine çevirisi yerine insan çevirisi görürsün. Öğrendiğin dildeki dosyayı ana metin, kendi dilindeki dosyayı çeviri satırı olarak yükle. Her cümlenin altında bir çevirmenin yazdığı çeviri durur. Deyimler ve esprileri makine çevirisinden çok daha iyi anlarsın.
• Notların sağlam olur. Kaydettiğin cümleler ve çevirileri hatasız olur. Notlarım'da tekrar ederken ya da Anki gibi bir uygulamaya aktarırken hataları ayıklamakla uğraşmazsın.
• Seviyene uygun metin seçersin. Bir öğretmenin hazırladığı, sadeleştirilmiş ya da kelime notları eklenmiş bir altyazıyı da yükleyebilirsin.
• Dinleme araçlarıyla birlikte daha etkilidir. Zor bir cümleyi 🔁 ile tekrar tekrar dinle, hızı 0.75x'e düşür, Alt+N ile çevirisiyle birlikte kaydet.

Kelime vurgusunun sese tam oturması için videonun otomatik altyazısının da olması iyidir. ListenPad dosyadaki kelimelerin zamanlarını oradan alır.

Zamanlamayı kaydırmak

Menüde her dosyanın yanında − 0 sn + vardır (yarım saniyelik adımlar). Ortadaki değere tıklamak sıfırlar. Panel açıkken ince ayar için:

• Vurgu sesin gerisinde kalıyorsa − ya da Shift+Z (0,1 sn erkene).
• Vurgu sesten önce gidiyorsa + ya da Shift+X (0,1 sn geçe).

SRT dosyalarında kelime zamanı yoktur. ListenPad, videonun otomatik altyazısı varsa zamanları ondan alır, yoksa konuşma hızından tahmin eder. Eski Windows Türkçe kodlamalı dosyalar da doğru okunur.

6. Dinleme araçları

• Cümleler arasında gez: Shift+← / Shift+→ önceki / sonraki cümle. R okunan cümlenin başına döner.
• Cümleyi tekrarla: 🔁 ya da Shift+R. Cümle sen kapatana kadar döner, başka bir yere sarınca kendiliğinden kapanır. Dil çalışırken çok işe yarar.
• Hız: 1x ▾ menüsünden. YouTube'un kendi hız ayarı da aynı değeri gösterir.
• Metinde ara: 🔍 ya da Shift+F. Enter sonraki, Shift+Enter önceki eşleşme, Ctrl+Enter videoyu o cümleye sarar, Esc kapatır. Türkçe harfler ve şapkalar sorun çıkarmaz: "islam" yazınca "İslam", "gazzali" yazınca "Gazzâlî" bulunur.
• Kaldığın yer: Yarım bıraktığın bir videoyu tekrar açınca "Kaldığın yer: 10:00 · ▶ Devam et" şeridi çıkar. Videonun ilk yarım dakikasında kaldıysan, videoyu bitirdiysen ya da link belirli bir zaman damgasına gidiyorsa çıkmaz.

7. Videoda not almak

Not penceresinde kendi notunu ve etiketlerini (virgülle ayrılmış, örneğin kelime, gramer) yazabilirsin. Daha önce kullandığın etiketler çip olarak önerilir. Ctrl+Enter kaydeder, Esc vazgeçer.

Her nota videonun başlığı, kanalı, zaman damgası ve çeviri açıksa çevirisi de yazılır. Notlarım'da zaman damgasına tıklayınca video tam o saniyeden açılır.

8. Web sayfalarında not

ListenPad yalnızca videolarda değil, okuduğun her sayfada çalışır:

1. Bir metni seç. Seçimin altında 📌 Not al düğmesi çıkar (ya da Alt+N'ye bas).
2. Pencerede notunu ve etiketlerini yaz, Kaydet.
3. Notlarım'da Web sayfaları altında site adıyla durur. ↗ Sayfada göster sayfayı açıp o metne kaydırır ve vurgular.

Düğmenin her seçimde çıkması seni rahatsız ediyorsa eklenti simgesi → Web sayfaları bölümünden değiştir. Seçenekler: her seçimde, yalnızca Ctrl / Shift / Alt ile seçince ya da kapalı. Tuşlu seçeneklerde seçerken tuşa basılı tutabilir ya da seçtikten sonra tuşa bir kez basabilirsin. Kapalıyken de Alt+N çalışır.

9. Slayt yakalamak

Ders ve sunum videolarında P'ye ya da 📸'ya bas: videonun o anki karesi kendi çözünürlüğünde kaydedilir. Panel kapalıyken de çalışır.

• Panelde bir metin seçiliyse o metin slaytla birlikte nota yazılır. Seçim yoksa okunan cümle yazılır.
• Nereye kaydedileceğini eklenti simgesi → Ekran resmi bölümünden seçersin:
  • Notlara (varsayılan): Notlarım'da 📸 SLAYT kartı olur.
  • İndirilenler klasörüne: İndirilenler/YouTube Slaytlar/<video adı>/ altına JPG olarak, dosya adı zaman damgası.
  • Notlara + İndirilenler: ikisine birden.
  • Panoya kopyala: doğrudan bir belgeye yapıştırmak için.
• P bir sitenin kendi tuşuyla çakışırsa aynı yerden başka bir harf ya da Yok seçebilirsin.

Bir videonun bütün slaytlarını Notlarım'da o video seçiliyken 📦 ZIP olarak indir ile tek dosyada alırsın. 📁 Klasöre kaydet… ise bir kez seçtiğin klasöre tek tek yazar ve her dosya için ayrıca sormaz.

Reklam sırasında ve kopya korumalı (DRM) videolarda kare alınamaz.

10. Tüm metni kaydetmek

Paneldeki 💾 ▾ menüsü seçili altyazının tamamını kaydeder. Çeviri açıksa her cümle çevirisiyle birlikte gelir.

• 📒 Tüm metni notlara kaydet: tek bir not olarak.
• ⬇ Metin dosyası indir (.txt)
• ⬇ Markdown indir (.md): zaman damgalarıyla. Obsidian gibi not uygulamalarına uygun.

11. Notlarım sayfası

Panelde 📒'ye ya da eklenti simgesi → 📒 Notlarım'a tıkla.

• Sol menü: 🕘 Son notlar (bütün videolardan en yeni 10 not), Videolar (en son not aldığın üstte, not sayısıyla), Web sayfaları, Etiketler.
• Bir video seçince: notları zaman damgası sırasıyla gelir. ▶ Baştan izle, video linki ve slaytlar varsa ZIP / klasöre kaydet düğmeleri en üsttedir.
• Not kartı: zaman damgası linki, alıntı, çeviri, etiketler, kendi notun. Not ekle / Notu düzenle ve Sil burada. Uzun metinler kısaltılır, ▼ Tamamını göster ile açılır.
• Arama: "Son notlar" açıkken bütün notlarda, bir video seçiliyken yalnızca o videoda arar. Çevirileri ve etiketleri de kapsar.
• Dışa aktar: Markdown indir (slayt varsa notlar ve resimler tek ZIP'te). JSON indir resimler dahil tam yedek alır, JSON içe aktar onu geri yükler.

12. Google Drive senkronu

İstersen notlarını ve slaytlarını kendi Google Drive'ına kopyalayabilirsin. Aynı hesabı bağladığın her tarayıcıda (örneğin evdeki Chrome ve iş yerindeki Brave) notların ortak olur.

1. Eklenti simgesi → Bulut (Google Drive) → Google Drive'a bağlan.
2. Google hesabını seç ve izin ver.
3. Durum satırında e-postan, son senkron saati ve not sayısı görünür.

• Notların Drive'ında ListenPad adlı klasöre yazılır. Eklenti yalnızca kendi oluşturduğu dosyaları görebilir, Drive'ının geri kalanına erişemez.
• Senkron kendiliğinden olur: bir notu değiştirdikten birkaç saniye sonra, ayrıca on dakikada bir ve tarayıcı açılınca. Beklemek istemezsen ↻ Şimdi senkronla.
• Bağlantıyı kes yalnızca senkronu durdurur. Ne Drive'daki dosyalar ne de tarayıcındaki notlar silinir.
• Ayarlar, kaldığın yerler ve yüklediğin altyazı dosyaları senkronlanmaz, her tarayıcıda ayrıdır.
• Aynı notu iki tarayıcıda aynı anda düzenlersen en son kaydedilen kazanır.

Drive kullanmak istemiyorsan notlarını başka bir tarayıcıya taşımak için Notlarım → JSON indir, diğer tarayıcıda JSON içe aktar yeterli.

Araç çubuğundaki ListenPad simgesine tıkla:

Eklenti güncellenince simgede YENİ rozeti çıkar. Neyin değiştiğini ✨ Yenilikler'de görürsün.

Alt+T ve Alt+N'yi chrome://extensions/shortcuts (Brave'de brave://extensions/shortcuts) sayfasından değiştirebilirsin. Panel kısayolları sen bir yere yazı yazarken çalışmaz ve YouTube'un kendi kısayollarını (örneğin F tam ekran) bozmaz.

User guide

The interface is in English and Turkish: extension icon → Language. Automatic follows your browser's language.

1. Getting started

1. Add ListenPad to Chrome or Brave. Pin it from the puzzle icon in the toolbar so settings are one click away.
2. Open a video with subtitles. On YouTube a ListenPad button appears in the player's control bar, next to CC. Click it or press Alt+T.
3. The panel opens over the video and highlights the word being spoken. Start reading.

Good to know: the panel starts closed on every video. Once you open it on a video, it stays open the next time you watch that video. No account needed.

2. The reading panel

The panel shows subtitles sentence by sentence. The spoken word is highlighted in orange, the current sentence is softly shaded, and the panel scrolls along.

• Click a word: the video jumps there.
• Double-click: play or pause.
• Follow (◎): if you scroll the panel so the current line leaves the view, following stops and you can look back freely. Press ◎ to return to the current line.
• Note marks: sentences you saved are underlined with dots; hover to see your note. The video's progress bar also shows a small mark for each note.

Toolbar buttons

The status line at the bottom of the panel tells you where the subtitles and translation came from. "saved copy (no request)" means the translation was saved earlier and nothing was sent over the internet.

3. Placing the panel

• Move: drag the ⠿ Reading label in the toolbar.
• Resize: drag the left, right or bottom edge or a bottom corner. The size is stored relative to the video, so it scales in fullscreen.
• Dock: ⇤ or ⇥ sticks the panel to one side at full height and leaves the rest of the video visible. Drag its inner edge to change the width.
• Transparency: the ◐ slider. Lower it to see the video behind the panel.
• Re-center: if the panel ends up somewhere odd, click the extension icon → Center the panel.

Panel position and size are kept per tab, so moving it in one tab doesn't affect the others. Theme and transparency are shared everywhere.

4. Subtitles and translation

The CC ▾ button opens a menu:

• Subtitles: every subtitle track of the video. Tracks marked auto-generated have real word timings but may contain errors. Tracks marked uploaded (by the creator) have clean text with estimated word timings.
• Translation: Off, Automatic (your browser's language) or any language. Common languages are at the top, and the Search languages… box finds any of about 160. The translation appears as a small, faint line under each sentence.
• Source: Automatic tries the video's own translation first, then Google Translate, then Chrome's on-device translator. You can also pin one of them.
• ↻ Download subtitles again / ↻ Translate again: re-download the subtitles / re-fetch the translation.

If the video's language differs from your browser's, translation turns on by itself. Your choice is remembered per video. Translations are saved once fetched, so reopening a video doesn't request them again.

On dubbed videos the panel follows the audio track: switch the audio language and the subtitles switch too.

If ↻ Translation appears in the toolbar, the translation failed; click to retry. If ⬇ Language pack appears, Chrome's on-device translator needs a one-time language pack download. That translator works offline but isn't available in Brave.

5. Your own subtitle file (SRT/VTT)

When a video has no subtitles, bad ones, or you have a better file:

1. CC ▾ → ＋ Load a subtitle file (SRT/VTT)…. You can pick several files.
2. A file in the video's language becomes the main text. A file in your translation language is used as the translation line (marked 📄). The language is read from the file name (lecture.en.srt, English.srt…), or detected from the text.
3. The file is saved for that video and reopens automatically next time. Remove it with ✕ in the menu.

Why load my own subtitle file?

If a video has no subtitles, if you want a higher-quality viewing experience, or if you're learning a new language, you can load your own subtitle file. The main benefits:

• You read the correct text. Auto-generated captions have no punctuation or capitals and sometimes mishear words. A well-made file gives you complete, correct sentences, so you don't memorize a misheard word in a language you're still learning.
• You get a human translation instead of a machine one. Load the file in the language you're learning as the main text and one in your own language as the translation line. Every sentence then has a translator's version underneath, and idioms and jokes make far more sense.
• Your notes stay clean. Saved sentences and their translations are error-free, so reviewing them on My notes or exporting them to an app like Anki doesn't mean fixing mistakes first.
• You can pick text at your level. Load a simplified subtitle, or one your teacher prepared with vocabulary notes.
• It works best with the listening tools. Loop a hard sentence with 🔁, slow down to 0.75x, and save it with its translation using Alt+N.

For the highlight to match the audio exactly, it helps if the video also has auto-generated captions: ListenPad takes the word timings for your file from them.

Shifting the timing

Each file has − 0 s + controls in the menu (half-second steps). Click the number in the middle to reset. For fine tuning while the panel is open:

• Highlight lags behind the audio: − or Shift+Z (0.1 s earlier).
• Highlight runs ahead of the audio: + or Shift+X (0.1 s later).

SRT files have no word timings. If the video has auto-generated captions, ListenPad borrows their timings; otherwise it estimates them from the speaking rate.

6. Listening tools

• Move between sentences: Shift+← / Shift+→ for previous / next. R goes back to the start of the current sentence.
• Repeat a sentence: 🔁 or Shift+R. The sentence loops until you turn it off, or until you seek elsewhere. Great for language practice.
• Speed: from the 1x ▾ menu. YouTube's own speed setting shows the same value.
• Search: 🔍 or Shift+F. Enter next match, Shift+Enter previous, Ctrl+Enter jumps the video to that sentence, Esc closes. Accents don't matter.
• Resume: reopen a half-watched video and a "You left off at 10:00 · ▶ Resume" bar appears. It doesn't appear if you stopped in the first 30 seconds, finished the video, or the link points to a specific time.

7. Taking notes on videos

In the dialog you can add your own note and tags (comma-separated, e.g. vocabulary, grammar). Tags you used before are suggested as chips. Ctrl+Enter saves, Esc cancels.

Each note also stores the video title, channel, timestamp and, if translation is on, the translation. On My notes, clicking the timestamp opens the video at that exact second.

8. Notes on web pages

ListenPad works on any page you read, not just videos:

1. Select some text. A 📌 Take note button appears below it (or press Alt+N).
2. Add your note and tags, then Save.
3. On My notes it's listed under Web pages by site. ↗ Show on page opens the page, scrolls to the text and highlights it.

If the button gets in the way, change it under extension icon → Web pages: show on every selection, only when selecting with Ctrl / Shift / Alt, or off. With a key option, hold the key while selecting or tap it once afterwards. Alt+N works even when the button is off.

9. Capturing slides

In lectures and talks, press P or 📸 to save the current frame at the video's full resolution. It works even with the panel closed.

• If text is selected in the panel, it's saved with the slide; otherwise the current sentence is.
• Choose where slides go under extension icon → Screenshot:
  • Notes (default): a 📸 SLIDE card on My notes.
  • Downloads folder: JPG files under Downloads/ListenPad Slides/<video title>/, named by timestamp.
  • Notes + Downloads: both.
  • Clipboard: to paste straight into a document.
• If P clashes with a site's own key, pick another letter or None there.

On My notes, with a video selected, 📦 Download as ZIP downloads all its slides as one file. 📁 Save to folder… writes them into a folder you pick once, without a prompt per file.

Frames can't be captured during ads or on copy-protected (DRM) videos.

10. Saving the full transcript

The 💾 ▾ menu saves the whole subtitle track, with translations if they're on:

• 📒 Save the transcript to notes: as a single note.
• ⬇ Download as text (.txt): plain text file.
• ⬇ Download as Markdown (.md): with timestamps, handy for Obsidian and similar apps.

11. The My notes page

Click 📒 in the panel or extension icon → 📒 My notes.

• Sidebar: 🕘 Recent notes (the latest 10 notes across all videos), Videos (most recent first, with note counts), Web pages, Tags.
• A selected video lists its notes in time order, with ▶ Watch from the start, the video link, and ZIP / folder buttons if it has slides.
• Each note card shows the timestamp link, quote, translation, tags and your note, with Add note / Edit note and Delete. Long text is shortened; ▼ Show all expands it.
• Search covers all notes from "Recent notes", or just one video when a video is selected. It includes translations and tags.
• Export: Download Markdown (one ZIP with images when there are slides). Download JSON is a full backup including images; Import JSON restores it.

12. Google Drive sync

Optionally copy your notes and slides to your own Google Drive. Every browser connected to the same account (say, Chrome at home and Brave at work) shares the same notes.

1. Extension icon → Cloud (Google Drive) → Connect Google Drive.
2. Pick your Google account and allow access.
3. The status line shows your email, the last sync time and the note count.

• Notes go to a ListenPad folder in your Drive. The extension can only see files it created, not the rest of your Drive.
• Sync runs on its own: a few seconds after you change a note, every ten minutes, and when the browser starts. ↻ Sync now syncs right away.
• Disconnect only stops syncing. Nothing is deleted from Drive or your browser.
• Settings, resume positions and uploaded subtitle files are not synced; they stay per browser.
• If you edit the same note in two browsers at once, the last save wins.

Without Drive, move notes to another browser with My notes → Download JSON, then Import JSON in the other browser.

Click the ListenPad icon in the toolbar:

After an update, the icon shows a NEW badge; ✨ What's new lists what changed.

Change Alt+T and Alt+N at chrome://extensions/shortcuts (brave://extensions/shortcuts in Brave). Panel shortcuts are off while you type and don't override YouTube's own keys (e.g. F for fullscreen).
